About Best Kansas City

Best Kansas City helps readers make a shortlist of residential electricians and siding contractors across the metro.

What the lists show

We research candidates from dated Google listing searches, check company sources for relevant residential service and rank eligible companies by a published review formula. The methodology, source dates and downloadable data make the order reproducible. These lists do not cover every business and do not inspect workmanship.

Who publishes it

Best Kansas City is a Kansas City-area publication. Its role here is to publish comparisons and corrections; it is not the contractor providing the work.

Business relationships and scoring

The publisher may have business relationships with listed companies. Those companies qualify and score under exactly the same rules as everyone else. A relationship cannot purchase a ranking position, waive an eligibility requirement or suppress a factual correction. Paid material outside the rankings must be clearly labeled. The listing badge is free.

This edition

This contractor edition covers electricians and siding. Its Google review snapshot is dated Oct 13, 2026; service checks and changes are dated separately. See the edition log for the current scope and corrections.
